ANTIQUE SHOP PART 1

Since a long time I am busy with the antique shop.

The design, lighting, wallcover, ceiling and the floorcovering is very important for me, because that determines the looks of the box.

These are also the elements which can't be replaced. I always work step by step, because than I can better overlook what's missing, and so the box is growing under my hands. It will take a while before the box is completely finished.

Below and in the next pages you can see how the antique shop is growing.

The box measures, 60 cm wide, 30 cm high and 40 cm deep, and than 10 cm for the bay-window.

I have chosen for this depth becase otherwise there was not enough space left for the platform.

When the box was glued there was something I missed, everything was to right-angled.

Because I like vista very much I though about a bow-window. I sawed a opening in the back wall and I was surprised what the effect was.

Below you can see the box in it's bare form with a cardboard mould for the window. By using a mould I can see easely what would be the best form.

Fence

It's amasing what you can do with a plastic fence and a little bit of golden paint.

Floor

The floor is made of veneer from a building material store. The veneer is thin and very easy to use.

Let's go to part 2:
